Cookie Policy

    1. About cookies

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some cookies are strictly necessary to make a site work, for example to keep you signed in. Others, which we do not use, track your activity for analytics or advertising.

    2. The one cookie we use

We set a single, strictly necessary session cookie. Its only job is to keep you securely signed in when you log in to the Trustee Portal or the admin area.

    • What it does: remembers your signed in session so you do not have to log in on every page.
    • How it is set: it can only be read by our server, and it is sent over a secure connection.
    • How long it lasts: it expires after 24 hours by default. If you tick "keep me signed in" when logging in to the portal, it lasts up to 30 days instead.
    • Ordinary visitors: if you simply browse the site without logging in, no cookie is set.

    3. No analytics or tracking cookies

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build a profile of your browsing. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which does not set a cookie but does receive your IP address as a normal part of serving the fonts. Our emails, which are separate from the website, may record whether a message was opened or clicked. You can read more about both in our Privacy Policy.

    4. Why there is no cookie banner

Under UK rules, a cookie that is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for does not require consent. As the only cookie we use is the strictly necessary session cookie, we do not show a cookie consent banner.

    5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Please note that if you block the session cookie you will not be able to log in to the Trustee Portal or the admin area, because signing in depends on it.
