Nexus Studio ("we", "us", "our") is a website service in the United Kingdom for charities and social enterprises. We offer monthly website plans and one off website projects, along with ongoing digital support, and two free tools for the charity sector: the Website MOT and the Trustee Portal. By using our website, engaging us for paid work, or using either free tool, you agree to these Terms of Service.
We provide done for you website design and development for charities and social enterprises. This can include design, development, copywriting, search engine optimisation, and optional ongoing support and hosting.
The scope of any paid work is agreed in writing before it begins. Anything outside the agreed scope may be subject to an additional charge, which we will agree with you first.
You can cancel a monthly website plan at any time, with no exit fee. If you cancel before the twelve month ownership point, the website and its hosting remain part of our service and do not transfer to you, and we will help you export your content. Ongoing support arrangements can be paused or ended by either of us with reasonable notice.
How ownership works depends on how you work with us. For a one off website project, you own the finished website and all the bespoke content we create for it, including the code and copy, once it is paid in full. On a monthly website plan, ownership of the website transfers to your charity after twelve consecutive months, after which you choose the level of ongoing support you need.
We may show the completed website in our portfolio and refer to the project in our own marketing, unless you ask us in writing not to before the project completes. Any third party assets, fonts, stock imagery or software used in the project remain subject to their own licences.
The Website MOT is a free, automated report about a website. It is provided as is and for information only. We do not guarantee that every finding is complete or free of error, and it is not a promise of any particular result. There is no charge and no obligation to buy anything. If you would like help acting on the report, you are welcome to get in touch.
The Trustee Portal is a free governance tool for charity boards. It is provided as is and as available. Please note:
For paid work, our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us for the relevant project or, on a monthly plan, the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim. The free tools are provided without warranty to the fullest extent the law allows.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, arising from the use of, or inability to use, a website or tool. We do not guarantee particular search rankings, lead volumes or donation outcomes, as these depend on factors outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL, and continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated terms. For any question about these terms, contact us:
